Original data: New York State Marriage Index, New York State Department of Health, Albany, NY. __________ 20190705HAv- Kathryn Rena Henderson Dufton 7 jan 1941 The Daily News, Huntingdon PA Mrs. Fred Dufton ___ Mrs. Fred Dufton, of Port Allegheny, McKean county, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 21, 1940 at 8:30 PM after only a few days' illness of peritonitis. Katherine Rena Henderson was born March 15, 1886, at Port Allegany, a daughter of William R. and Lettie Weidick(sic) Henderson. She married Fred J. Dufton, who died October, 1927. Her father's family, the Hendersons, came from Cassville, Pa, where for generations they were active in the life of the community. An aunt, Mrs. W.F. Green, still resides in Cassville. Survivors include four daughter: - Mrs. Andy Nelson, of Rixford; - Margaret, - Florence, and - Imogene at home; three sons: - Fred, - Darrel, and - Joseph. There are also three grandchildren and - one half-sister, Mrs. George Prentice of Friendship. - Glenn Henderson, her only brother, who served with distinction during the late World War, died in service only a month before the signing of the Armistice. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 24, at the Wrights church, with the Rev. A.S. Wright officiating. - Interment was made in Fairview cemetery.
