DORIS K. (KENYON) REED(1934 - 2018)
Doris K. Reed, 83, of Genesee, died Monday, April 9, 2018, in her home.
Born Aug. 16, 1934, in Genesee, she was the daughter of Howard G. and Dorothea L. McConeghey Kenyon.
On March 21, 1953, in Genesee, she married Donald R. Reed, who predeceased her on March 1, 1981.
A graduate of Genesee High School and Elmira Business Institute, she and her husband owned and operated Kenyon's Store in Genesee.
She was employed by Reed's Market in Genesee for many years.
Doris was a member of the Genesee United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and was active in Potter County unit of the American Cancer Society for many years.
Surviving are:
four children,
- Brian (Deb) Reed of Andover, N.Y.,
- Allan (Vonda) Reed of Mansfield,
- Donald (Karen) Reed, Jr. of Genesee, and
- Verena (John) Monagle of Juneau, Ark.;
14 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren;
a sister, Verena Ruddnick of Zephyrhills, FL;
a brother, Robert (Sandra) Kenyon of Genesee;
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, April 13, from 6-8 p.m. at the Genesee United Methodist Church, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery.

Robert F. "Bob" RILEY, 81, of Ulysses, formerly of Palmyra, N.J., died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 in his home.
A Memorial Service celebrating Bob's life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 14, in the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses. Memorials may be made to Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 247, Ulysses, PA 16948.
