A, Harris Succumbs at Home Sunday Ernest Alvin Harris died at his home in Coneville on Sunday, March 21, 1948. Born at Independence, New York on May 30, 1869, he was married to Lottie May Swift on October 28, 1892 in Wellsville, New York. Following the occupation of lumberman and farmer, he was a life long resident of this area. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Evingham of Oswayo and Mrs. Don Streans of Coudersport. three sons, Carl A. Harris of Oswayo, Neil Harris of Rixford, and Earl Harris of Olean, New York, 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home in Coneville on Wednesday. afternoon March 24 at two o'clock and at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Coneville at 2:30. Rev. Harry Andorf officiated. She was a life long resident of Coneville where she was born on May 8, 1874. She was married in 1893 to Mr. Harris who died in 1948 Mrs. Harris was a member of the Coneville Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are two duahgters, Mrs. Don Streans of Coudersport, R.D. and Mrs. Kenneth Evingham of Conville, three sons, Neil Harris of Rixford, Earl Harris of Olean, New York and Carl Harris of Oswayo, 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, one brother, Maurice Swift of Sharon Center, and several nieces and nephews. A prayer service was held at 1:30 pm Sat. at the home followed at 2:00 pm with services in the EUB Church with Rev. David Derk, pastor officiating.
