MRS. SARAH MARSCHNER
Mrs. Sarah Wiepper Marschner, passed to the Great Beyond early Thursday morning, October 3, at her home In Card Creek, near Roulette, where she has resided since 1879. Mrs. Marschner was born near Bristol, Bucks County, Pa., July 14, 1849, and was the only surviving daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wiepper, early settlers and pioneers, of Roulette Township, who migrated to this section from New Jersey.
On May 6, 1869, she married Anthony Marschner, Jr., of Phiadelphia, now deceased, in Buffalo, N.Y. In 1878, the family came from that city to Roulette Township, moving from Roulette village to Card Creek, where she resided for fifty-seven years. She was the mother of eleven children of which nine survive, viz:
- Olga E. Connolley Reed,
- Arthur J. Marschner,
- Carl E. Marschner,
- Mrs. Clate N. Baker and
- Mrs. Fred N. Baker, of Card Creek;
- Mrs. Fred W. Kohler, of Thurston, N. Y.;
- Ernest E. Marschner, of Buffalo, N. Y.;
- John G. Marschner and
- William C. Marschner, of Detroit, Mich.;
- Frederick O. Marschner died in infancy and
- Joseph A. Marschner in later life.
Besides the above, she leaves surviving,
- one brother, N. C. Wiepper, of Port Allegany;
twenty-four grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends to mourn this energetic woman true friend and loving wife and mother.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from her late home, Rev. Walter Bradley, of Sweden Valley officiating and
- interment made in the family plot in Card Creek Cemetery.

N. C. Wiepper, daughter, Winifred and son Edwin Turner, of Port Allegany.
