Tis shall be your WARRANTto survey and lay ___ in one or more surveys, for William McCoy his Heirs or Assignt; the Qantity of two hundred Acres of Land, due unto the said William McCoy in consideration of his Service for the war as a soldier in the Virginia Continental line agreeably to a Certificate from the Governor and Council, which is received inf that Land-Office, GIVEN under my Hand, and Seal of the said Office, this 22nd Day of July, in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and 84. Issue, jt: William and his wife (named CORDELLA CAMPBELL of Giles, Virginia) were married in 1772, and became the parents of 13 children: ten sons and three daughters.
