Mr. Hershberger was a son of Henry and Elizabeth Steele Hershberger and was born in Snake Spring Valley, January 3, 1851. He was a life long member of the Church of the Brethren. On December 25, 1873. he was married to Alice Boor. They moved to Martinsburg 18 years ago. Surviving are three sons and five daughters: D. C. Hershberger, Charter Oak, Iowa; Mrs. H. S. Ober, Woodbury; Mrs. C. A. Studebaker, Tippecanoe City, Ohio; Dr. J. W. Hershberger, C. A. Hershberger, Mrs. G. B. Wineland and Mrs. J. K. Archey, Martinsburg; Mrs. C. B. Rhodes, Martinsburg, R. D. Dr. Hershberger was educated at Juniata college and at the University of Pittsburg, and for the past three years has been practicing in Martinsburg. Fol lowing tne cerejnony the couple mo-1 tored to Lewistown, where a wedding breakfast was served. Dr. and Mrs. , Hershberger then left for a wedding trip by motor to Chicago and the Great Lakes. They will be at home to their many friends alter August 15, in Martinsburg..
